James Steffes Listed As "Principal" At Start-up Texas Retail Electric Supplier Backed By Clean Energy Company

In an amendment to the pending application of start-up retail electric provider Declaration Energy LLC for an Option 1 REP certificate in Texas, Declaration Energy now lists James Steffes, with the title of "principal", as a contact for regulatory, complaint, and emergency matters, and as the company's authorized representative, and as the primary contact under "Principal Company Information", as listed and stated in the amendment filed by Declaration Energy

Declaration Energy's application for a Texas REP certificate had been exclusively first reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com earlier this month

Texas Secretary of State records confirm that Modern Energy Group LLC is a "governing person" of Declaration Energy LLC (a Delaware LLC registered as a foreign LLC in Texas), along with Benjamin Abram, Mark Laabs, and Jeffrey C Hart.

As previously reported, Modern Energy describes itself as, "a holding company for outstanding clean energy businesses, driving various elements of the clean energy transition -- from energy efficiency and distributed generation to demand response."

As previously reported, Modern Energy recently announced a $100 million debt facility from EIG Global Energy Partners to fund the development of clean energy assets.

Joey Romano is also now listed by Declaration Energy, with the title of "principal," as a secondary emergency contact for the company, as listed in an amendment to Declaration Energy's pending application for a Texas Option 1 REP certificate
