Residential POR Discount Rate To Spike To Nearly 8%, More Than Double Current Rate

Fitchburg Gas and Electric d/b/a Unitil has filed with the Massachusetts DPU revised Standard Complete Billing Percentages (purchase of receivables [POR] discount rates), to be effective December 1, 2020
The new residential POR discount rate of 7.90% is more than double the current rate of 3.38%
The new Small/Regular General Service POR discount rate is 0.90%, versus the current discount of 0.71%
Fitchburg Gas and Electric's updated Standard Complete Billing Percentages to be effective December 1, 2020 are as follows:
It is notable that the uncollectibles only reflect write-offs through December 2019.
The new rates remain subject to DPU approval
