ComEd, Ameren File New Electric Supply Rates, Prices To Compare
The following story is brought free of charge to readers by EC Infosystems, the exclusive EDI provider of EnergyChoiceMatters.com
Commonwealth Edison and Ameren have filed new electric supply rates, resulting in new Prices to Compare, effective October 1, 2020
At ComEd, for mass market customers, the change is de minimis and is less than 1 mill per kWh versus the previously filed October 2020 rate (and thus there is no material change in the 10% increase ComEd residential and Watt-hour Non-Electric Space Heating customers will see in the October PTC versus the September 2020 PTC, as previously reported).
Specifically, the new ComEd residential PTC for October 2020 through May 2021 is 7.067 cents per kWh, versus prior October filed rate of 7.135 cents per kWh, and September PTC of 6.475 cents per kWh.
ComEd's revisions reflect changes to both the Purchased Electricity Charges (PECs) [supply] and PJM Services Charges (PSCs) [transmission] effective October 2020.
The new ComEd PECs and PSCs can be found here for all classes.
Ameren
Ameren also filed new Retail Purchased Electricity Charges for the period October 2020 to May 2021
Generally, the new Retail Purchased Electricity Charges reflect a de minimis change from the previously filed October 2020 rates (less than 1 mill per kWh change)
Ameren's new Purchased Electricity Charges can be found here
