Met-Ed, West Penn Power Residential Prices To Compare Increasing 6-7%

The FirstEnergy Pennsylvania utilities have filed new tariffed residential PTC-Default rates with the PUC for the three-month period starting December 1, 2020
The PTC-Default rates are the all-in default service rates without the application of the State Tax Adjustment Surcharge (essentially, the PTC prior to application of the STAS), which is currently 0%. The utilities have not yet posted new official PTCs; the tariff filings with the new rates have not yet been approved by the PUC as of publication time
At Met-Ed, the tariffed residential PTC-Default rate will be $0.06174 per kWh effective December 1, a 7% increase versus the current $0.05757 per kWh.
At Penelec, the tariffed residential PTC-Default rate will be $0.05667 per kWh effective December 1, a marginal increase versus the current $0.05598 per kWh
At Penn Power, the tariffed residential PTC-Default rate will be $0.06435 per kWh effective December 1, a de minimis decrease versus the current $0.06447 per kWh
At West Penn Power, the tariffed residential PTC-Default rate will be $0.05198 per kWh effective December 1, a 6% increase versus the current $0.04891 per kWh
