United Illuminating Residential Default Service Rate To Increase 8%; Small Commercial Rate Increasing 6%

United Illuminating has filed new default service rates with the Connecticut PURA for the period beginning January 1, 2021

The January 1, 2021 to June 30, 2021 UI residential (Rate R) Standard Service rate will be 9.3694¢/kWh, which is 8% higher than the current UI Rate R rate of about 8.67¢/kWh. All of the Standard Service rates in this story include the Bypassable FMCC (where applicable) which is zero.

The UI Rate GS Standard Service rate will increase 6% to 9.0725¢/kWh on January 1, 2021, from the current rate of about 8.52¢/kWh

New Standard Service rates for January 2021 through June 2021 are as follows, in cents per kWh (for Rates LPT & GST, rates only applicable for customers under 500 kW).
