AEP Texas Files To Implement New Refund Rider To Retail Electric Providers

AEP Texas has filed at the Texas PUC to implement a final refund to retail electric providers, related to service to customers in the former AEP Texas Central service area, resulting from over-collections under Rate Schedule TC-2

For customers in the former AEP TCC service area, AEP would provide the refunds via Rider TC-2 Refund - Refund of Transition Charges - 2, to be effective March 1, 2021

The refund period is to begin with the first billing cycle of the March 2021 billing month and is anticipated to last four months. While Rider TC-2 Refund rates are expected to be in effect for a period of four months, Rider TC-2 Refund rates shall remain in effect until the aggregate amount of $23,417,389 has been refunded. After the aggregate amount of $23,417,389 has been refunded, Rider TC-2 Refund shall terminate.

The amount of the refund would be as follows for each customer class:

AEP Texas Rider TC-2 Refund - Refund of Transition Charges - 2 (Limited To Former AEP TCC Customers)

• Residential: $(0.003024) per kWh

• Commercial and Small Industrial - Energy $(0.001556) per kWh

• Commercial and Small Industrial - Demand $(1.073871) per kW or kVa

• Large Industrial - Firm $(0.800308) per kW or kVa

• Large Industrial - Non-Firm $(1.007401) per kW or kVa

• Standby - Firm $(0.136410) per Daily kW or kVa

• Standby - Non-Firm $(0.206296) per kW or kVa or Daily Rate

• Municipal and Cotton Gin $(0.004248) per kWh
