PJM Staff Propose New Schedule To Resume Capacity Auctions, Some Additional Delivery Years Would See Auction Delayed From Typical May Date

PJM has posted a staff presentation for the November 19 Markets and Reliability Committee concerning updates to the PJM capacity market Base Residual Auction and incremental auctions, now that FERC has issued orders in all necessary proceedings to resume the auctions

The staff presentation includes the following schedule below. Note: PJM Staff's original presentation, which had been previously shown below, included an error which listed January 2022 as the 2025/26 BRA date. Staff has filed an updated presentation to correctly reflect January 2023 as the 2025/26 BRA date. The corrected schedule is below:

Concerning the incremental auction cancellations, the presentation notes:

• PJM will always conduct a Third Incremental Auction

• A scheduled incremental auction will be cancelled if it’s normally scheduled date has already passed

• A scheduled incremental auction will be cancelled if it falls within 10 months or less from the BRA for that delivery year
