Nstar East Residential, Small C&I Default Service Electric Rates Rising 20%

Nstar (Eversource Energy) has filed basic service electric rates with the Massachusetts DPU for its Eastern MA service area for the period beginning January 1, 2021

All rates in this story include the existing Basic Service Adders, Renewable Portfolio Standard, Alternative Energy Portfolio Standard, Clean Energy Standard Adders, and Clean Peak Standard Adders. As such, the rates below will change when any new adders are approved.

For Nstar East residential customers, the fixed January 1, 2021 to June 31, 2021 basic service rate as filed is 11.882¢/kWh, which is 20% higher than the current rate of 9.877¢/kWh

For Nstar small C&I customers, the fixed January 1, 2021 to June 30, 2021 basic service rate as filed is 11.173¢/kWh, which is 18% higher than the current rate of 9.460¢/kWh
