J3 Web Holdings LLC, a private equity firm which was formed earlier this year, recently acquired ElectricityMatch.com, an online shopping site for retail electricity plans in Texas.

The managing members of J3 Web Holdings include Jerry Dyess, John Tough and Donnie Roland.

Previously, Dyess was a founder and CEO of Choose Energy, one of the first online comparison sites in the Texas electric market.

Tough previously served as Chief Revenue Officer at Choose Energy.

Roland previously served as Chief Technology Officer at Choose Energy.

Since acquiring ElectricityMatch, J3 Web Holdings has rebranded the site and plans to begin marketing early next year with an initial focus in Texas.
