11 Million Acres LLC, which is described as a sustainable energy investment and development firm, applied for a Maine electricity aggregator/broker license to serve medium and large non-residential customers at Central Maine Power Company; Versant Power - Bangor Division; Versant Power – Maine Public Division, and Eastern Maine Electric Cooperative

Upon being granted, it is believed the license would represent the first such license for 11 Million Acres LLC in those states which require licenses for brokering or related activity

11 Million Acres LLC currently offers a variety of energy management and consulting services. On 11 Million Acres' website, competitive retail energy supply procurement is not currently emphasized as a service that is offered, though the company does offer virtual PPAs

Other services highlighted by 11 Million Acres on its website include:

• Energy Conservation Measures such as LED lighting, VSDs, motor controls, sensors, building automation systems, and more.

• Production—Sustainable & Renewable Energy Generation: Onsite, Community Solar and Utility Scale Solar.

• Storage: Energy Storage strategies for Resiliency as well as Cost Savings.

• Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) Financing

• Tax Equity

• EaaS - Energy as a Service for LED lighting and HVAC upgrade and replacement programs.

• Energy Equity for microgrid development, deep energy retrofit, etc.

In the Maine broker application, 11 Million Acres says that it will subscribe current customers with locations in Maine to community solar systems. 11 Million Acres further stated, "11 Million Acres is assisting with coordinating subscription agreements between community solar developers licensed in the State of Maine and its customers."

Mark Nakayama is a co-founder and partner at 11 Million Acres. Nakayama was previously co-founder and CEO of Navigate Power

Dave Pavlik is co-founder of both 11 Million Acres and Decennial Group, and has structured over $2 billion in renewable energy and infrastructure projects throughout his career

Pavlik previously served as the Illinois State Budget Manager where he oversaw the budgets, headcount, and legislative initiatives for over 2 dozen agency budgets, including over $20B in total funding and more than 15,000 state employees.
