Former NRG VP Launches New Company To Provide Energy And Resiliency Services To C&I Customers (Includes Supply Procurement Consulting)

Energy industry veteran Steven Moffitt has announced the launch of Palm Energy LLC, which, in collaboration with Distributed Energy Resources (DER) engineering and emissions consultant E2Comply LLC, will bring to market its "R3Di" distributed energy resource solution to provide energy and resiliency services for C&I and utility customers throughout North America.

Palm Energy's services include supply procurement and risk management for power & gas supply, including tariff analysis and optimization and supplier management

Other services include resiliency & reliability solutions; demand side management & ancillary services; sustainability, emissions, and compliance; renewables & distributed energy resources; and utility bill management, reporting, analysis, and audit

Palm Energy states, "The Patent Pending on-site power System, R3Di, provides near-instant backup energy capable of sustaining long duration outages. The System and our expertise also provide considerable Energy Savings and serves as a foundational building block for future Distributed Energy Resource projects."

Most recently, Moffitt served as President of NRG Energy’s DER business unit where over a 5-year period he grew their business by more than 300% and launched their behind the meter C&I Distributed Energy Resource program.

Prior to his role at NRG, Moffitt held leadership roles at Comverge, Dynegy, Koch Industries, and BG Group which covered BG’s America’s, Australia, and Global LNG businesses.
