Retail Supplier Wins Tranche Of Default Service Load

The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio has released winning bidders for the January 2021 auction for a portion of the Standard Service Offer load at the FirstEnergy Ohio utilities for the period June 1, 2021 - May 31, 2022
The auction produced a tranche-weighted average price of winning bids of $46.80 per MWh. Supplier-specific prices to be paid are below
Notable is that Interstate Gas Supply, Inc. won one (1) tranche in the auction. Although bidder identities are confidential if the bidder does not win a tranche, and thus the extent of IGS Energy's prior auction participation is unknown, IGS Energy's status as a winner of tranches in the Ohio SSO auctions appear to be a recent event. IGS also won a tranche in the October 2020 FE Ohio EDC auction, but generally did not appear as a winner in various other recent Ohio electricity auctions
