ERCOT: "We Have Not Defaulted Any Retail Electric Providers" As A Result Of Weather Event
The following story is brought free of charge to readers by EC Infosystems, the exclusive EDI provider of EnergyChoiceMatters.com
During an ERCOT board meeting, ERCOT Staff said that it has not, as of this time, defaulted any retail electric providers since the recent weather event
To correct any information market participants may have earlier heard from the meeting from other chatter or sources, an ERCOT Staffer did at one point in the meeting erroneously state that two REPs had "defaulted", but later corrected that statement and later said, "we have not defaulted any retail electric providers," since the weather event.
As noted in our related story today, ERCOT had issued a short-pay notice related to two REP-related QSEs, but ERCOT later issued a market notice stating that ERCOT has now received full payment for such invoices
