Texas PUC Approves Several New Volunteer POLRs
The following story is brought free of charge to readers by EC Infosystems, the exclusive EDI provider of EnergyChoiceMatters.com
The executive director of the Texas PUC approved the previously reported application of Gexa Energy, LP to serve as a volunteer POLR (aka Voluntary Retail Electric Provider or VREP)
The executive director also formally approved Reliant's application to serve as a volunteer POLR and TXU's petition to increase the customers it is willing to serve as a volunteer POLR. As previously reported, such action had been previously directed by the PUC
The executive director's notice, which was dated Feb 24 but which said the actions were undertaken on Feb. 23, did not specifically address the applications from two other REPs to serve as volunteer POLRs, nor an application from another REP to be relieved of its non-volunteer POLR obligation, as reported in our prior stories.
