ERCOT Working To Obtain Credit Facility To Address Invoice, Financial Issues

During a hearing before a Texas House committee yesterday, ERCOT CEO Bill Magness said that ERCOT is working to obtain a "credit facility" to address invoice timing and related issues facing market participants
Magness noted that ERCOT staff was continuing to work on obtaining a credit facility yesterday and did not have a further update on such progress as he provided his testimony
A House member expressed skepticism that ERCOT would be successful in obtaining such a facility, given its lack of assets and role as a market clearing house
