ERCOT issued a short payment notice related to Settlement Invoices due for payout on March 5, 2021

Market observers may note that the 3/5 short payment notice includes Electranet QSE I LLC. This inclusion of Electranet QSE I LLC as short paying is an error, Electranet told EnergyChoiceMatters.com

Corey Amthor a representative for Electranet, provided the following statement to EnergyChoiceMatters.com:

"We represent generation that sells power back to the grid. The short pay mentioned below was due to an AEP billing mistake on our meter read. They entered the amount that we were generating mistakenly as consumption. So instead of getting paid for energy produced, ERCOT billed us for energy consumption. We were notified of an invoice due from ERCOT on Wednesday for $400k due on Thursday and additional amounts due on Friday. We immediately contacted AEP and they admitted the mistake and edited the submittal to ERCOT. We had conversations with ERCOT where they agreed that the billing was a mistake but that it was too late to make the change on the billing statement. They did agree that we were not at fault and our name would not be included on the list of short pays. I have contacted ERCOT and they are in the process of seeing what they can do to make a correction to the market notice.

"I am very disappointed in ERCOT and think it is unacceptable how they can bill incorrectly and then put our name down in a document that could harm our reputation."

--- Statement from Corey Amthor, representative for Electranet

Electranet QSE I LLC is affiliated with an Option 2 Texas retail electric provider, Electranet Power LLC

In the market notice, ERCOT stated that, beginning next week, ERCOT will issue a weekly Market Notice, on an as-needed basis, identifying the names of short-paying Invoice Recipients that have paid previously identified short pay amounts and providing an updated estimate of the aggregate outstanding short-pay amount.

The short payment notice for Invoice Payout Date March 5, 2021 includes the following Operating Dates: DAM 02/26/2021 – 02/28/2021; RTM Initial 02/25/2021; RTM Resettlement 02/11/2021; RTM Resettlement 02/12/2021; RTM Final 01/06/2021; RTM Trueup 09/03/2020

Aside from the erroneous inclusion of Electranet QSE I LLC, ERCOT's notice listed short-paying entities as follows (Amount of Short Pay listed)

Energy Monger LLC - $3,218.59

Entrust Energy INC - $147,818.01

GB Power LLC - $6,061.46

"Other, attributable to meter read timing" - $44,957.22
