TXU Launches New Plan With "Automatic Savings for Electric Vehicle Owners"

TXU Energy announced the launch of TXU Energy EV Pass, which is described as, "the company's first plan designed specifically for electric vehicle owners," and which, "gives customers 50% off all energy charges every weeknight and all weekend long – providing automatic bill credits at times when customers are normally charging their vehicles."
Specifically, under the plan, energy charges are discounted every weeknight from 12am to 4:59am Monday through Friday and during the weekends from 12am to 11:59pm on Saturday and Sunday. Other recurring and nonrecurring charges, including TDU Charges, the monthly Base Charge and state and local taxes, apply normally to all hours of usage.
The EV Pass plan is a fixed rate plan offered with terms of 12 or 24 months, with 100% renewable power
In the Oncor service area, TXU Energy EV Pass 12 has an all-in average rate of 13.5 cents per kWh, at 1,000 kWh usage, reflecting a base charge of $9.95 per month, an energy charge of 10.9 cents per kWh, and a pass-through of TDU charges.
The TXU Energy EV Pass 12 plan has an early cancellation fee of $150
For residential enrollments (all plans), TXU is offering to cover up to $150 of any early termination fee imposed on the customer by their current REP, paid as a bill credit
