En-Powered Inc., d/b/a EnPowered USA Inc., has registered as an ESCO in New York to serve all customer classes

As previously reported (story here), EnPowered is currently licensed as a retail electric supplier in Ohio and various Canadian markets

EnPowered has placed a focus on a transparent, data-driven approach for customer marketing and engagement, with customer portals providing personalized usage, rate, and savings information versus competing offers and default service

EnPowered said that it has been newly licensed as an energy broker in New Jersey, with an application pending in Pennsylvania

In a filing with the New York PSC, EnPowered said, "We are hard at work developing a novel tool that will help New Yorkers compare their electricity options, and choose the plan that is best for them. By increasing the transparency and accountability in the energy market, we aim to increase the real benefits that New Yorkers can receive in a deregulated energy market while helping them avoid the many potential scams that exist today."

"If a consumer uses EnPowered's portal to compare options in the market, but then decides to sign-up with a different provider, this consumer will still be able to use EnPowered's portal to track their monthly usage, costs, and savings," the company said

Under its model, EnPowered presents customers with a portal of offers from other suppliers to compare options in the market, but also markets its own offerings under which EnPowered serves the customer as the customer's retail supplier

Additionally, EnPowered focuses on using AI algorithms which can predict spikes in electricity prices, providing customers with software to be alerted to, and to respond to, such prices to save money.
