The FirstEnergy Pennsylvania utilities have filed new tariffed residential and commercial PTC-Default rates with the PUC for the three-month period starting June 1, 2021

The PTC-Default rates are the all-in default service rates without the application of the State Tax Adjustment Surcharge (essentially, the PTC prior to application of the STAS), which is currently 0%. The utilities have not yet posted new official PTCs; the tariff filings with the new rates have not yet been approved by the PUC as of publication time

At Met-Ed, the tariffed residential PTC-Default rate will be $0.06690 per kWh effective June 1, a 23% increase versus the current $0.05418 per kWh.

At Penelec, the tariffed residential PTC-Default rate will be $0.06462 per kWh effective June 1, a 30% increase versus the current $0.04981 per kWh

At Penn Power, the tariffed residential PTC-Default rate will be $0.07195 per kWh effective June 1, an 26% increase versus the current $0.05721 per kWh

At West Penn Power, the tariffed residential PTC-Default rate will be $0.05707 per kWh effective June 1, an 11% increase versus the current $0.05154 per kWh

At Met-Ed, the tariffed commercial PTC-Default rate will increase 7% to $0.06584 per kWh effective June 1, versus the current $0.06175 per kWh

At Penelec, the tariffed commercial PTC-Default rate will increase 5% to $0.06374 per kWh effective June 1, versus the current $0.06049 per kWh

At Penn Power, the tariffed commercial PTC-Default rate will increase 6% to $0.08033 per kWh effective June 1, versus the current $0.07564

At West Penn Power, the tariffed commercial PTC-Default rate will increase 27% to $0.06128 per kWh effective June 1, versus the current $0.04844 per kWh
