As first reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com, Bulb is a U.K.-based retail energy supplier which first entered the Texas retail electric market in late 2019, with a full statewide launch in 2020
Although the FERC MBR applications do not explicitly state that the intent of the applications is to support any potential retail electricity business of Bulb in a FERC-jurisdictional market, retail suppliers typically seek MBR authority due to balancing wholesale sales which are a customary part of serving load.
