In response to a recent show cause order, Smart One Energy, LLC informed the New York PSC that, "Smart One previously abandoned its eligibility application as Smart One is leaving the New York market and therefore voluntarily forfeiting its approval to operate as an energy service company in the State."

"Smart One previously submitted electronic data interchange ('EDI') requests to the utilities to return its remaining customers to utility service," Smart One Energy, LLC said in the PSC filing

The PSC in a May show cause order had alleged that Smart One Energy, LLC provided inaccurate information in its ESCO re-eligibility application. See more details on the show cause order here.
