New Mitsubishi Retail Energy Subsidiary Seeks License In Another New State

Diamond Energy East, LLC, which is ultimately a subsidiary of Mitsubishi Corporation, applied for a Maryland electric supplier license to serve all customer classes, including residential customers, in all service areas
As first reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com, affiliate Diamond Energy TX, LLC received an Option 1 Texas retail electric provider certificate last week
Diamond Energy East said that it is also currently applying for retail supplier licenses in the District of Columbia, Delaware, Illinois, New Jersey, Ohio and Pennsylvania
Diamond Energy affiliates expect to file for retail supplier licenses (or similar instruments) in New York and various New England states by the end of 2021
The creation of several Diamond Energy subsidiaries by Mitsubishi Corporation, with the intent to operate as retail electric providers in various markets, had been first reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com earlier this year (see details here)
