The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio granted Diamond Energy East, LLC an electric supplier license to serve all customer classes in all service areas

Diamond Energy East, LLC is a new retail energy supplier which is ultimately a subsidiary of Mitsubishi Corporation. The creation of several Diamond Energy subsidiaries by Mitsubishi Corporation, with the intent to operate as retail electric providers in various markets, had been first reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com earlier this year (see details here)

As previously reported, Diamond Energy East said that it is also currently applying for retail supplier licenses in Maryland, Delaware, Illinois, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and the District of Columbia, and an affiliate has already received a Texas REP certificate

Diamond Energy affiliates expect to file for retail supplier licenses (or similar instruments) in New York and various New England states by the end of 2021
