SJI (South Jersey Industries, Inc.) subsidiary EnerConnex has acquired retail energy consultant Electrasource.

Established in 2016, Electrasource is a Texas-based consultant that provides energy efficiency and procurement services for commercial and industrial businesses throughout the United States.

"This acquisition further supports our 2019 decision to exit retail supply and expand our growing consulting business. In this capacity we can leverage our considerable expertise in a consultative manner in support of the customer/supplier relationship," said Rick Gallagher, Vice President, Sales and Business Development, SJI.

EnerConnex assists commercial, industrial and institutional organizations with the procurement of electricity and natural gas, as well as solutions to meet their energy efficiency and sustainability needs.
