Switch Ltd., an operator of data center facilities and a provider of related services, has filed an update to its application for an Option 2 Texas retail electric provider certificate

Option 2 REPs are limited to serving customers 1 MW and larger which provide an affidavit agreeing to such service

In the application, Switch provided more details on its intended operations, stating that, "Switch, Ltd. proposes to self-supply its electricity needs as an Option II REP."

Switch further stated, "In the event Switch, Ltd. intends to serve another entity with one or more megawatts in the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT), Switch, Ltd. will submit the required affidavit executed by such entity under seal."
