Octopus Energy is offering new residential electricity plans in Texas that include one-year of free Amazon Prime membership for new customer enrollments

Octopus Energy is offering the free Amazon Prime membership as part of a 12 months fixed plan and 3 months fixed plan

In the Oncor service area, the OctoExtra 365 plan with free Amazon Prime membership is a 100% renewable, 12-month fixed rate plan with an average all-in rate, at 1,000 kWh, of 10.9 cents per kWh. This reflects an energy charge of 6.1¢ per kWh and delivery charges of 3.5¢ per kWh and $3.42 per month, and a monthly subscription fee (base charge) of $10.00 per month. There is no early termination fee.

Octopus said that Amazon Prime has a $12.99/month value or $119/year value, depending on offer.

Octopus said that Amazon Prime membership includes, "unlimited fast, free delivery; ultrafast grocery delivery and pick-up; award-winning movies and TV episodes with Prime Video; free books, games and music; and photo storage, exclusive savings and so much more."
