The City of Rochester, New York today "activated" its municipal aggregation, with the start of supply service
Rochester is said to be the largest municipality in New York State to launch a community choice aggregation (CCA) program.
Constellation was selected as the supplier for the Rochester CCA
The default product for the aggregation, open to 57,000 Rochester residents and small businesses, is 100% renewable energy (through New York State RECs)
The default product has a fixed price, for 24 months, of $0.05800/kWh for residents and $0.05877/kWh for small commercial customers
Joule Assets, the program administrator, said that Rochester expects to launch an opt-out community solar program in early 2022.
