NRG Reports Overall "Home" Customer Decline, Increased Home Customer Count In Texas

NRG has reported customer counts for its "Home" segment in a 10-Q for the period ending September 30, 2021

NRG was serving 5.781 million customers in its Home segment as of September 30, 2021, a decrease of 82,000 versus the 5.863 million customers served in the Home segment as of June 30, 2021

NRG increased the number of Home segment customers served in Texas by 16,000 from June 30, 2021 to September 30, 2021, with NRG serving 3.043 million Home segment customers in Texas as of September 30, 2021. As previously reported, in June, NRG disclosed that it acquired all of the Texas electric customers of Iberdrola Solutions LLC d/b/a Iberdrola Texas; it was unclear when such customers began service under NRG (Q2 vs. Q3)

For the 6/30/21 and 9/30/21 data, NRG says in its applicable 10-Qs that, "Home customer count includes recurring residential customers and municipal aggregations, as well as recurring Services customers."
