Retail Supplier Parent Names New CEO, CFO

Talen Energy Corp. ("Talen" or the "Company") recently announced that it has elevated Alejandro ("Alex") Hernandez to the role of Chief Executive Officer ("CEO").
Hernandez, who had been serving as President and CFO, will also continue in the role of President and also as a member of the Company's Board of Directors.
Hernandez had been appointed President of Talen and a member of Talen's Board of Directors in August 2019, having concurrently served as chief financial officer since the Company's acquisition and take-private transaction in December 2016. Prior to joining Talen, Hernandez served as chief financial officer of TerraForm Power, Inc., a contracted renewable power infrastructure company.
As part of this leadership transition, Talen also announced that Ralph Alexander, who had been serving as CEO, will assume the role of Executive Chairman of the Board. In his expanded board leadership role, Alexander will ensure an orderly and successful CEO transition while continuing to oversee the Company's federal and state regulatory relationships, including as Chair of the Company's nuclear oversight committee.
Talen Energy also elevated John Chesser to the position of chief financial officer
Chesser joined Talen in January 2017 and most recently served as senior vice president of Finance, treasurer and head of M&A, a role he has held since 2019. Prior to that, he was divisional CFO, overseeing six gigawatts of generating assets
Before joining Talen, Chesser served as treasurer of TerraForm Power Inc.
