Bankrupt Retail Supplier Still Working On "Solution" To Texas Customer Contracts Not Included In Book Sale
The following story is brought free of charge to readers by EC Infosystems, the exclusive EDI provider of EnergyChoiceMatters.com
Liberty Power Holdings, LLC and relevant affiliates (Liberty, or Debtors) informed a bankruptcy court that the Debtors are still working towards a "solution" for those Texas customers not included in a book sale to NRG
Specifically, the Debtors sought an extension of the exclusive periods to file a plan of reorganization to, among other things, "continue working towards a solution to the remaining customer contracts in Texas not being sold to the Buyer [NRG]."
As previously reported, NRG purchased about 40% of the Liberty customer book on an RCE basis, while those customers in the Northeast not included in such book sale to NRG will be dropped to default service (see details here)
