Energy Texas, the new Texas retail electric provider led by several retail market veterans, officially announced its launch

EnergyChoiceMatters.com was first to report earlier this month that Energy Texas had launched service in Texas, with its offerings including a plan called "Come & Take It" (see story here)

In a news release, Energy Texas said, "Energy Texas is pleased to announce the launch of their retail electricity services across the state, focusing on Texas-sourced renewable energy and a customer-first experience."

In a news release, Energy Texas said, "Founded by Chief Executive Officer Robbie Wright, Senior Vice President of Customer Experience Katherine Wright, Chief Marketing Officer Liz Maberry, and Vice President of Supply, James Malick, the Energy Texas team boasts over 60 years of combined industry experience, providing a solid foundation for leadership to create a service that truly prioritizes the customer."

In a news release, Energy Texas said, "Energy Texas was created by Texans, for Texans, as an energy company that offers unique electricity plans that fit everyone's needs and budget. By accommodating the energy needs of its customers, Energy Texas makes the experience of choosing an energy provider less overwhelming."

In a news release, Energy Texas said, "To compete in an industry dominated by big-box corporations and in response to marketplace demands, Energy Texas is building out their own proprietary technology that will allow for more diverse, customizable service offerings."

In a news release, Energy Texas said, "In addition to its technological developments, Energy Texas has created a point-based reward program for certain customer actions, such as on-time bill payment and autopay, paperless, and Demand Response program enrollment. Customers will be able to redeem points for bill credits, gift cards, smart devices, and more."

"We started this journey thinking about how we can bring something different to the market," said Robbie Wright. "Over time, we realized we had unfinished business to take care of in the energy market as energy technology, consumer awareness and electricity usage insights continue to advance. This is a terrific time to enter the marketplace."

In a news release, Energy Texas said, "As a part of their launch, Energy Texas is offering several promotions for customers, including a free first bill when you sign up for the 18- or 24-month plan. Visit the Energy Texas website for more details."
