ERCOT Issues Reliability Analysis For Generating Unit Seeking To Retire

ERCOT has completed its reliability analysis for Austin Energy's unit DECKER_DPG2, which will be retired.
On November 1, 2021, ERCOT received a Notification of Suspension of Operations (NSO) for the following Generation Resource: City of Austin d/b/a Austin Energy - DECKER_DPG2
The NSO indicated that the Generation Resource will be decommissioned and retired permanently as of March 31, 2022 but will remain operational throughout the upcoming winter months.
Pursuant to the ERCOT Protocols Sections 3.14.1.2 (3), ERCOT has completed its reliability analysis and determined that this Generation Resource is not required to support ERCOT transmission system reliability and may suspend operations according to the schedule in the NSO.
