Small Customer Default Service Rate Increasing 32% At New Hampshire Utility

The New Hampshire PUC approved new default service (energy service) rates at Liberty Utilities (Granite State Electric) for the period February 1, 2022 through July 31, 2022
All rates in this story are total, all-in rates reflecting the base energy supply rate, the RPS adder, the Energy Service Reconciliation Adjustment Factor, and the Energy Service Cost Reclassification Adjustment Factor
For the Small Customer Group, which includes residential customers, the default service rate will increase 32% to 11.119 cents per kWh for the six-month period beginning February 1, 2022, from the
current rate of 8.396 cents per kWh
The Liberty Utilities total default service rates for the period of February 1 to July 31, 2022, for the Large Customer Group are as follows (cents per kWh):
On December 14, Liberty Utilities entered into a wholesale Transaction Confirmation
with NextEra Energy Marketing, LLC (NextEra), the winning bidder to provide energy
to the Small Customer Group for the six-month period February 1, 2022, through July
31, 2022.
On December 15, 2021, Liberty Utilities entered into a wholesale Transaction
Confirmation with Dynegy Marketing and Trade, LLC (Dynegy), the winning bidder to
provide energy to the Large Customer Group for the six-month period February 1,
2022, through July 31, 2022. The solicitation for the Large Customer Group consisted
of two separate tranches of three months each (February to April, 2022 and May to
July, 2022), and the same bidder won both tranches
