Entergy Texas intends to seek approval to offer a voluntary renewable energy tariff to customers, according to a case number request filed with the Texas PUC

Although nothing substantive has yet been filed in the docket, Entergy Texas, Inc. in a letter to the PUC requested assignment of a docket number for the case styled as follows: "Entergy Texas, Inc.'s Statement of Intent and Application for Approval of Two Voluntary Renewable Option Tariffs, Rider SVRO and Rider LVRO"

Entergy Texas's application comes as the Texas PUC opened a project to house stakeholder views on expanding electric choice to the investor-owned utilities without choice (see story here), and Commissioner Jimmy Glotfelty said last fall that the PUC needs to "re-look" at a transition to competition at Entergy Texas (story here)
