The Public Utility Commission of Texas granted Gridmatic Rosa LLC an Option 2 Texas retail electric provider certificate, which authorizes the company to serve customers 1 MW and larger which provide an affidavit agreeing to such service

As first reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com, Gridmatic describes itself as, "Enabling the clean energy transition with AI and electricity markets."

Matthew Wytock serves as CEO of Gridmatic. Wytock was previously a Senior Staff Software Engineer at Google, Inc.

A social media post by Wytock describes Gridmatic thusly: "Gridmatic is applying AI/ML to energy to rapidly mitigate climate change. Our team is developing and applying state-of-the-art methods in deep learning and optimization, including generative modeling, portfolio optimization, and risk profiling. The company consists of alumni from Google, CMU, Stanford, and Cal."

Erin Kogan serves as CFO of Gridmatic. Among other positions, Kogan was previously co-founder and Chief Financial & Operating Officer (CFOO) of MANA Partners LLC a trading, technology and asset management firm

Leesa Lee serves as CMO of Gridmatic. Lee previously served as VP, Marketing at an AI platform and software company serving the energy marketing and utility industries, and as SVP, Product Management & Marketing at Greensmith Energy Management Systems, a Wärtsilä company. Lee also previously served as Sr. Director, Marketing at Stem, Inc.

David Miller was recently named VP Business Development at Gridmatic. Miller previously served as head of US grid-scale storage project development at Shell, and as VP of Business Development at Greensmith Energy, a Wärtsilä company

Will Gresiak was recently hired as energy trader at Gridmatic. Gresiak previously served as a wholesale and virtual energy trader at Automated Algorithms, LLC and as a trader at Basin Electric Power Cooperative. Gresiak also previously served as an analyst at an energy markets consultant.

Jeffrey Thibodeau, who previously held positions at EnerNOC and an energy markets consultant, serves as a power trader/data scientist at Gridmatic
