NRG provided a statement indicating that the acquisition also includes customers from Peso Power, another brand under the same ownership as Ampra Energy

NRG provided the following statement:

"We can confirm that NRG has executed an agreement to acquire customer accounts of Ampra Energy and Peso Power (JP Resources). Residential and commercial customers will be served by several NRG Home brands, including Green Mountain Energy. With the exception of customers on products indexed to wholesale energy prices, which are no longer allowed in the retail electric market, the terms of all existing customer contracts will remain the same. Customers on wholesale energy indexed prices will be transferred to a competitively priced month-to-month product that they can cancel at any time without a fee. We look forward to welcoming these customers when the transition is complete in May."
