The FirstEnergy Pennsylvania utilities have filed new tariffed PTC-Default rates with the Pennsylvania PUC for the three-month period starting June 1, 2022

The PTC-Default rates are the all-in default service rates without the application of the State Tax Adjustment Surcharge (essentially, the PTC prior to application of the STAS), which is currently 0%. The utilities have not yet posted new official PTCs; the tariff filings with the new rates have not yet been approved by the PUC as of publication time

Residential Rates

At Met-Ed, the tariffed residential PTC-Default rate will be $0.07936 per kWh effective June 1, a 16% increase versus the current $0.06832 per kWh.

At Penelec, the tariffed residential PTC-Default rate will be $0.08443 per kWh effective June 1, a 35% increase versus the current $0.06232 per kWh

At Penn Power, the tariffed residential PTC-Default rate will be $0.08694 per kWh effective June 1, a 23% increase versus the current $0.07082 per kWh

At West Penn Power, the tariffed residential PTC-Default rate will be $0.08198 per kWh effective June 1, a 45% increase versus the current $0.05667 per kWh

Commercial Rates

At Met-Ed, the tariffed commercial PTC-Default rate will be $0.10625 per kWh effective June 1, a 42% increase versus the current $0.07482 per kWh.

At Penelec, the tariffed commercial PTC-Default rate will be $0.11056 per kWh effective June 1, a 38% increase versus the current $0.08031 per kWh

At Penn Power, the tariffed commercial PTC-Default rate will be $0.12533 per kWh effective June 1, a 25% increase versus the current $0.10002 per kWh

At West Penn Power, the tariffed commercial PTC-Default rate will be $0.10115 per kWh effective June 1, a 55% increase versus the current $0.06542 per kWh

All of the new PTC-Default rates for the FirstEnergy Pennsylvania EDCs are to be in effect for the period June 1, 2022 through August 31, 2022
