TC Energy Marketing Inc. filed with the Texas PUC a registration as a power marketer to purchase and sell electric energy at wholesale within the ERCOT power region.

TC Energy Marketing Inc. is an affiliate of TransCanada

In an application for FERC market-based rate authority filed last fall, TC Energy Marketing had noted its affiliation with TransCanada Power Marketing Ltd. (TCPM), further noting that, "While TCPM has in the past made retail sales of electricity in New England and New York, it has not done so since 2018."
