U.S.-Based Retail Supplier Expanding To Spain's Energy Market, More European Markets On Tap

The Comisión Nacional de los Mercados y la Competencia (CNMC), Spain’s governing energy regulator, has granted Clarity Energy S.L.U., the European arm of Clearview Energy, a license to supply natural gas and electricity to residential and small commercial customers in mainland Spain.

"Clarity is excited to begin offering services in mainland Spain. The company will send through test orders immediately, and then go on to a limited roll out before fully entering the market in early 2023," said Joanne Thornton who leads the company’s efforts in Europe.

"Portugal, France, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxemburg are targeted for future expansion," Thornton said

Thornton added, "We are very excited to be launching in Spain and offering renewable energy for our fixed term and variable plans."
