North American Power & Gas, LLC (NAPG), "has determined that it will no longer serve the New York market and, as such, it has begun undertaking the steps necessary to return its remaining customers to full utility service," the company said in a filing

North American Power & Gas said that the amount of its New York customers is less than the threshold given in Section 5.H.3. of the Uniform Business Practices (UBP). Section 5.H.3. provides that no ESCO shall transfer 5,000 or more customers during a billing cycle to full utility service, unless it provides no less than 60 calendar days’ notice to the distribution utility and Department of Public Service.

Under the timing of the customer notice and drop requests, NAPG anticipates that all of its New York customers will be returned to utility sales service by August 15, 2022.
