ERCOT Issues Market Price Correction For SCED, Error Had Resulted In Higher RTORDPA

ERCOT issued the following operations message on July 9:

"Market price correction for SCED. This notification is an update to the message sent at 4:40 PM on 07/08/2022. ERCOT has completed the analysis and has determined that a price correction is warranted under Protocol Section 6.3 for SCED Operating Day (OD) 07/08/2022. The Real-Time On-Line Reliability Deployment Price Adder (RTORDPA) process incorrectly modeled their being up to 421 MW of deployed Load Resources other than Controllable Load Resources. This led to the RTORDPA being higher than it should have been during the impacted period, which is the SCED intervals from 1:35 PM through 4:30 PM. This corresponds to Settlement Intervals 1:45 PM through 4:45 PM. The RTORDPA was as high as $215.33/MWh during this time window. At this time, ERCOT has not identified any other impacted ODs. Completed price correction data will be posted on the ERCOT website as soon as possible, but no later than 4 PM on 07/12/2022, Tuesday.
