The Pennsylvania PUC granted start-up Spartacus Energy Services, LLC a retail electric supplier license to serve residential, small commercial (25 kW and under demand), large commercial (over 25 kW demand) and industrial customers in the electric distribution company service territories of PECO Energy Company and PPL Electric Utilities Corporation

Spartacus Energy Services' creation by several retail market vets had been first reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com last year

Spartacus Energy Services, LLC (Applicant) had stated as follows in an August 2021 FERC application for market-based rate authority: "Spartacus Energy Services Holding, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company ('Holding Company'), is the sole owner of the Applicant, and no other individual or company owns ten percent (10%) or more of the Applicant. Holding Company is owned by Pristine Energy LLC ('Pristine') (75%) and Novel Solutions Marketing LLC ('Novel') (25%). No other individual or company owns ten percent (10%) or more of Holding Company. Pristine is solely owned by Mr. Michael Proscia. Novel is solely owned by Mr. Eric Edwards. Neither Mr. Proscia nor Mr. Edwards have an ownership interest of ten (10%) or more in any other entity in the U.S. energy industry."

Andrew Petti is listed as Manager of Spartacus Energy Services in the company's Pennsylvania application.
