A Public Utilities Commission of Ohio attorney examiner has adopted a procedural schedule to allow for consideration of a November 2021 Staff report which does not favor the expansion of electricity supplier consolidated billing (SCB) in Ohio

In brief, Staff cited, "poor participation of the eligible providers and concerns with the methods of customer enrollment," in the SCB pilot at AEP Ohio for Staff's recommendations

Retail suppliers had requested that a process be adopted to consider the report and allow for comments

Under the attorney examiner's entry, comments regarding the Staff Report shall be filed by August 9, 2022, and reply comments shall be filed by August 23, 2022.

After considering the comments and reply comments, the Commission will determine whether a hearing on the supplier consolidated billing pilot is necessary
