Pennsylvania PUC Informs Customers About September 1 Price Increases

The Pennsylvania PUC issued a news release yesterday informing customers about default service Price to Compare increases occurring September 1 at PECO and the FirstEnergy Pennsylvania utilities

The PTC increases had been first reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com in July. Since our original stories, PECO has posted official PTCs (our prior story reported on the underlying generation supply adjustment rate increase, without bypassable transmission)

At PECO, the residential Rate R PTC will increase 11% to 8.508 cents per kWh on September 1, from the current 7.637 cents per kWh

At PECO, the Rate GS under 100 kW PTC will increase 4% to 8.040 cents per kWh on September 1, from the current 7.699 cents per kWh
