PUC Approves Results Of Default Service Auction, Winning Bids Above $120/MWh

The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio approved the results of an October 2022 auction for a portion of the FirstEnergy Ohio utilities' default service load for the period June 1, 2023 – May 31, 2024
Specifically, an auction procured 33 tranches (the target amount) of Standard Service Offer supplies, with a delivery term of June 1, 2023 – May 31, 2024, at a tranche-weighted average price of winning bids of $122.30 per MWh
There were five winning bidders, with seven bidders participating. Winning bidder identities will remain confidential for 21 days
