CPower Closes On Acquisition Of Centrica's U.S. Demand Response Business (Includes Licensed Broker Entity Centrica Business Solutions Optimize)

CPower Energy Management ("CPower") announced it has completed the previously reported (story here) acquisition of the U.S. demand response division of Centrica Business Solutions
Through the acquisition, CPower specifically acquired Centrica Business Solutions Optimize, LLC (CBSO), which is a registered electric broker in Ohio. In August, at the time that the transaction was first announced, a media rep for CPower told EnergyChoiceMatters.com that CPower at such time had not determined what the disposition will be for the CBSO's Ohio license after the transaction closes. CPower itself is also licensed as an Ohio broker, which CPower said is for its distributed energy resource business activities, given the broad scope of entities covered under the Ohio regulatory requirement.
CPower now manages 6.3 GW of DER capacity across more than 17,000 sites
