Texas PUC To Open Review of Rules For Electric Choice At Munis, Co-ops Which Adopt Competition
The following story is brought free of charge to readers by EC Infosystems, the exclusive EDI provider of EnergyChoiceMatters.com
The Texas PUC has assigned Project 54212 for: "Review of 16 TAC § 25.215, relating to Terms and Conditions of Access by a Competitive Retailer to the Delivery System of a Municipally Owned Utility or Electric Cooperative that has Implemented Customer Choice."
As previously reported, muni utility Lubbock Power & Light is to begin retail choice in the fall of 2023
The current rule, which is rather brief, addresses the opt-in entity's filing of a Tariff for Competitive Retailer Access and permissible changes (and parts which may not be changed) of the standard delivery tariff used in the market
