Met-Ed Residential Price To Compare To Increase 10%; Penelec PTC Decreasing

The FirstEnergy Pennsylvania utilities have filed new tariffed residential PTC-Default rates with the Pennsylvania PUC for the three-month period starting December 1, 2022

The PTC-Default rates are the all-in default service rates without the application of the State Tax Adjustment Surcharge (essentially, the PTC prior to application of the STAS), which is currently 0%. The utilities have not yet posted new official PTCs; the tariff filings with the new rates have not yet been approved by the PUC as of publication time

Residential Rates

At Met-Ed, the tariffed residential PTC-Default rate will be $0.10303 per kWh effective December 1, a 10% increase versus the current $0.09397 per kWh.

At Penelec, the tariffed residential PTC-Default rate will be $0.09889 per kWh effective December 1, a 1% decrease versus the current $0.10021 per kWh

At Penn Power, the tariffed residential PTC-Default rate will be $0.10511 per kWh effective December 1, a 1% increase versus the current $0.10348 per kWh

At West Penn Power, the tariffed residential PTC-Default rate will be $0.08517 per kWh effective December 1, a 2% increase versus the current $0.08306 per kWh
