PUC Issues Settlement With Retail Supplier For Public Comment

The Pennsylvania PUC has issued for public comment a previously reported settlement between National Gas & Electric, LLC (NG&E or the Company) and the Bureau of Investigation and Enforcement (I&E) of the Pennsylvania PUC to resolve alleged instances of overbilling and slamming
As first reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com NG&E would pay $15,250 under the settlement, and would take various corrective measures, including several related to TPV questions, and several related to the individual authorized to enroll an account with the supplier
National Gas & Electric provided the following statement concerning the matter
"National Gas & Electric, LLC ('NG&E') is pleased to announce that we have reached resolution of this matter. NG&E utilized a mass mailing vendor to launch a postcard campaign to offer savings vs. the local utility’s price. Due to mail delays, some of the customers who accepted our offer after the local utility had lowered its rate and still received savings compared to the local utility’s rates, but at a lesser savings rate than would have been the case if timely received. NG&E has accepted responsibility for the mail merge and late mailing errors of its vendor and will continue to strive for innovative products to meet customer’s energy needs."
