Green Mountain Energy, a unit of NRG Energy, recently acquired Bulb US LLC's book of Texas electric customers, Bulb confirmed in a filing to relinquish its Texas REP certificate

A prior customer communication from the REPs informed customers about pricing changes as follows (Bulb's contracts are month to month):

"Q: What will happen to my current pricing plan with Bulb?"
"A: It will change but will be a competitive price. Your current pricing plan with Bulb provides for price changes at the beginning of each calendar month. Green Mountain Energy's month-to-month variable price plan does not work like that. Accordingly, Green Mountain Energy will serve you under a month-to-month variable price plan that can be cancelled at any time without an early termination fee. The terms of that plan can be found in the enclosed EFL, TOS and YRAC contract documents. If you find these new pricing terms to not be acceptable, you may select another REP without penalty. If you choose to select another REP, please arrange a service start date with that REP that is no later than 30 days from the date of this letter to ensure your service is not transferred to Green Mountain Energy."
